This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the VYSO. To celebrate this historical occasion, a very extraordinary 80th Anniversary All Orchestras Celebration Concert will be held at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on May 16, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Along with the Board of Directors and Conductors Jin Zhang and Margitta Krebs, I invite you to attend this sparkling and vibrant commemoration of Vancouver’s classical musical life as nurtured by the VYSO for 80 years!

After all these years, the VYSO looks forward to not only continuing its mission to make a difference in the lives of its members, but the local and provincial community as well. Conducting the Senior Orchestra is truly a thrill - the superb artistic ability and sheer dedication that goes into making each one of our performances a success is evident on the face of each player.
